The City of Lago Vista will be collecting your unwanted eclipse glasses at our Library. A box will be set up in the Library lobby so we can inspect, pack, and mail them to the Astronomers Without Borders Organization. They have been sending solar glasses for eclipses since 2008 to people who may not otherwise have a safe way to view the eclipse directly. They are sent to South America, Asia, and Africa and have helped to build a bridge between individuals all over the world.
