National Library Week, April 7th-13th
With heartfelt appreciation, we want to acknowledge how libraries play a vital role in connecting our communities and enhancing our lives in ways we might not fully grasp. Personally, one of our most cherished experiences is stumbling upon the unexpected treasures that libraries offer. Whether it's through book clubs, adult programs, children’s programs that provide a haven for after-school activities, or countless other services, libraries truly support us at every stage of
life's journey. Let's celebrate the invaluable gift of libraries worldwide, recognizing the endless adventures and opportunities they bring into our daily lives. Let's embrace the joy of discovery at our local libraries.
**With that said, we also want to acknowledge our staff for National Worker Day, Tuesday, April 9th, 2024, and and give a shout out to our amazing patrons!**
Drop Everything and Read (D.E.A.R.), April 12th
D.E.A.R. is a national celebration of reading designed to remind families to make reading a priority activity in their lives. This day is celebrated every year on April 12th for author Beverly Cleary’s birthday. D.E.A.R. time was a reading practice featured in the beloved Ramona books.
