Charles West Selected as City of Lago Vista City Manager

LAGO VISTA, TX – The City of Lago Vista is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Charles West as the new City Manager, following official action by the City Council during its meeting on Thursday, April 17, 2025.
 
 Mr. West brings more than 12 years of municipal leadership experience, with a strong background in strategic planning, operations, and community engagement. He is known for his collaborative approach and a proven track record of fostering organizational growth and enhancing city services.
 
 Charles officially began his duties with the City on Monday, May 19, 2025, and has already hit the ground running—bringing fresh energy and a focused vision to his new role. His extensive experience and commitment to public service will be key assets as we continue to enhance the quality of life for Lago Vista residents. We are excited to welcome his leadership as we move forward as a community.
 
 The City also extends heartfelt thanks to Mr. Taylor Whichard, who served as Interim City Manager over the past eight months. His steady leadership and dedication throughout the transitional period have been instrumental in maintaining progress on City initiatives. Taylor’s service is deeply appreciated by the City Council, staff, and community.
