What exactly is the Lateral Hire Program?
We recognize that transferring your law enforcement license to a different or out-of-state agency can be complicated. That's why we are pleased to offer a unique opportunity that distinguishes us from other agencies in the Lone Star State.
Think of it as your pathway to a fulfilling career with us. Managed by TCOLE (Texas Commission on Law Enforcement), this program aims to attract qualified applicants for the position of entry-level police officers. Once you successfully navigate our hiring process, you will meet with the Chief of Police and the interview board. Their aim is to ensure that you meet the criteria to fully utilize this program and join our team.
