National Night Out is a nationwide initiative aimed at fostering closer relationships between communities and law enforcement agencies while promoting safer and friendlier neighborhoods. The Lago Vista Police Department is currently accepting applications for community activity and entertainment booths, vendors, non-profits, local business vendors, and more.

Before applying, please take note of the following important information:

1. Anyone who intends to sell food, provide services, or sell products at National Night Out (NNO) will be classified as a Vendor. All Mobile Food Vendors (food trucks) and booths must receive approval from the Lago Vista Police Department. If you have a booth serving cooked food, you are required to obtain a Temporary Food Establishment permit from the City of Lago Vista’s Development Services, as well as undergo inspections by the Health Department. Please submit your temporary vendor permit application at least 30-60 days prior to your planned operation.

2. An Activity is defined as any individual or group providing items, informational presentations, or entertainment activities free of charge to NNO programming and patrons. Activity booths are not permitted to collect any funds during National Night Out but may solicit information and sign-ups for clubs, organizations, and non-profits. Community Partners will not need to pay a vendor fee.

3. The main goal of NNO is to foster a greater sense of community, safety, and togetherness, rather than to drive sales. Businesses wishing to participate as a vendor should consider how their presence will impact the event.

4. All community partners and vendors are responsible for their own setup and booths. Vendors should plan to arrive no later than 4:30 p.m. for check-in and setup. The Lago Vista Police Department will not provide any equipment or services beyond the designated footprint at the event, nor will they include additional marketing support prior to the event.

5. Please note, this event is held entirely outdoors. Vehicles will be positioned on the closed street, while tents and booth displays will be set up on the grass at the City of Lago Vista parking lot. The LVPD cannot control weather conditions or wildlife.

6. Non-food booths are strongly encouraged to include either an informational or interactive element in their display to enhance the mission of NNO and improve the public experience; hence, they are categorized as "Activities."

7. This is a family-friendly event, and all booths should be suitable for a variety of age groups.

Deadline to apply: September 2, 2025, by the end of the business day.
