The Lago Vista Police Department regularly receives various traffic complaints from concerned citizens and community members, including speeding, reckless driving, illegal parking, and traffic congestion. Addressing these concerns promptly and effectively is crucial for ensuring the safety and well-being of all residents and visitors in our community. 

By actively responding, the Lago Vista Police Department proactively enforces traffic laws, reduces the likelihood of accidents and injuries, and maintains the overall quality of life in Lago Vista. Speed Monitoring

The Lago Vista Police Department has purchased several radar trailers in 2017Radar after response to the community's growing demand. These trailers serve as portable, self-contained speed display units. They are equipped to measure and display the speeds of approaching vehicles while indicating the designated speed limit for a specific area.

The introduction of these radar trailers has been met with widespread acclaim from the community, as they have proven to be practical tools in addressing traffic concerns. By providing real-time feedback on vehicle speeds, the radar trailers help to promote safe driving practices and encourage compliance with speed limits.

Requesting Radar Trailer

Citizens throughout the City highly demand the radar trailer. To request that the radar be placed in an area within the City, please complete a traffic complaint form or contact the Police Department.

The Lago Vista Police Department has several radar trailers that we deploy to various locations throughout the City. The locations for deployment are determined based on several factors, including requests from citizens and business owners. We understand your input is valuable, and we strive to respect your requests. Due to road widths, obstacles, sight distance, etc., only some locations requested can be utilized for a radar trailer. Please complete the form below if you want a radar trailer deployed in a particular location (in Lago Vista).
